So, I went in to work today, on my day off, to get some things done. While there, the power went out, which meant I had lost access to my computer, the printer, and the copier. As we know, the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray. I did what I could, packed it in, and headed for home. Upon my arrival at home, I discovered that a LARGE pine tree had fallen in the yard. Miraculously, Hayden slept through it; however, in its falling, the tree took out a smaller tree and smashed the trampoline. This is the third tree to have fallen since August. Being grown up is overrated. Nonetheless, here is the silver lining: 1. 20 more feet and the tree would have been on the house. 2. No person or animal was injured or worse. 3. The swing set is still in tact. 4. I am sure there are more, I just can't think of them off the top of my head.
"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax— And cabbages—and kings— And why the sea is boiling hot— And whether pigs have wings." Lewis Carroll

CALAMITY STRIKES...sort of....
