PARTY ALL THE TIME

"My girl wants to party all the time, party all the time." Life is just one big party for Miss Maggie these days. We successfully completed our first school-age mother/daughter sleep over. Phew!!!!! The girls were all conked out by 11:00ish. It was so sweet to watch them sleep. They all were so big and brave afloat in a sea of pink and purple, yet most of them had some sort of security "blanket" that they were nursing pretty hard, whether it be in the form of a sucked thumb, an actual blankie, or some other form of snugly. The moms on the other hand stayed up until 2:00ish (a.m.) drinking wine, playing truth, truth, and a lie, and eating raw cookie dough. It was a Mommy sleepover, and we had a blast. Not to mention the fact that we discovered a lot about each other, and I thought there was nothing left to know. I am a little tired today since I bunked with my dear friend, Carolyn, and her littlest one, Grace Ingram, whom I LOVE. We were awakened at approximately 3:30 with Grace Ingram's request for her "bah" (blanket) and then again at 5:30 with a request for milk. It was a short night for sure, but FUN!

We left the sleep over to go to our last soccer game of the season, which was followed by....a party.

Tonight we are heading out for a church fall festival. Tomorrow we get a breather. Then we head into the final stretch with Mag's school Halloween party on Monday, her ballet party (re-do) on Tuesday and Halloween itself on Wednesday. And, I had hoped that Maggie if I could get Maggie still she might fall asleep...but that doesn't seem to be in the cards for today.

Hilarious Hat Day

Friday was Hilarious Hat Day at preschool. On Monday, Carolyn got the girls busy working on their wondrous creations, and this was the end result. Quite specatular.

The Fogas Fam Goes Green

I don't know whether the extreme draught or the extreme amount of gasoline that I was consuming that spurred on our environmental consciousness, probably the latter. But as of Monday night, I became the owner of a Toyota Prius. It is a hybrid and after driving over 100 miles, I still am on a full tank of gas. Yippee!!!!! Not only are we helping the environment, we are helping me save money. After 17 years of driving a BIG vehicle, this is quite a change. Since we have been ushering in other lifestyle changes, and 99.9 percent of the time, it is just mag and me driving around, it just seemed a little over the top driving such a large vehicle for just the two of us. So GO GREEN!!!!

Halloween Preschool Playgroup Party

What a big week we are having. It started when Maggie got to go to an awesome birthday party on Sunday. This was followed by getting to dress-up in her Halloween costume for ballet on Tuesday. Today we had our annual playgroup Halloween party for the preschoolers, and tomorrow we will have a Halloween mother/daughter sleepover with our school-age playgroup friends. Pictures from our sleepover will follow.

Birthday Party at the Polo Fields

Today we celebrated the birthdays of two of Maggie's friends, Autumn and Jade. Maggie and Autumn attended their first playgroup more than three years ago together and have been friends ever since. This was nearly a perfect day...the sky was blue, the weather was beautiful, the food was bountiful, and we were surrounded by friends. What more can you ask for. The girls got to ride ponies, dress up the ponies, and pet the animals in the petting farm. What a big day. All was well, except for when Maggie went into panic mode over the animals in the petting area..Petting zoos really are not her thing. If you don't believe me, refer back to the Tanglewood farm blog, where I have pictures of her literally climbing me to get away from the sheep.

Boys Fall Soccer 2007

Finally, here are some pix to update the boys' fall soccer experience. They aren't having that great of a season. Brenn plays goalie, but got taken out of the goalie box today by his coach (Mark), for being "lazy." I think there were 10 yellow cards today, a few red cards, and some pushing a shoving on the field. A little different style of play than what was witnessed at Mag's game an hour earlier. Josh got SLAMMED in the face today with a soccer ball. I figured that since he is 17 years old, he wouldn't want his mom hovering over him asking him if he was ok..so I did the next best thing...I caught it on film. Enjoy the pix
