Day 2 in Dallas

The day started with flashbacks to China....you can't get Diet Mountain Dew in McKinney, Texas. After a few false starts, Brennan and I just started stopping at any establishment that sold beverages. When all was said and done, we made it home with 14 Diet Mtn. Dews. Phew!!!! I didn't want to have to Detox while I was here. We also visited the Heard Museum and Nature Center where we hit the trails, but we didn't see any wildlife. The kids were pumped to see a bobcat or some other ferocious animal. Maggie was relieved, the boys were bummed. The kids got to go on an archaeological dig where fantasy and realty merged for the boys. They thought they were doing a documentary (Steve Irwin style) in which they found the rare and previously undiscovered "fish pelvis." It was good for a laugh. Mag posed with a stuffed bear in honor of her soccer team, and Brenn tried to feed Josh to the fake snake hanging from ceiling. We ended the day shopping. Hip Hip Hurray!!! Oh, and the Easter Bunny made a surprise visit here last night to leave Mag an Easter basket and a bike to keep here at Gammie and Scott's. Mom and I rode bikes, while Mag tentatively rode hers under the watchful eye of her brother, Brennan.

It seems based upon your posts - that Mag and Brennan have an "extra special relationship" - is that right? I am sure she is close to all her siblings - it just seems that those two have a particular bond!

Have a great day!
