Mike and I headed out to Stone Mountain to hike the Cherokee Trail. Much like life, there were several wrong turns and some confusion, but when it was all said and done, we crossed the finish line. It was a beautiful hike!
A RUSTY MONKEY WRENCH AND OTHER MUSINGS
"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax— And cabbages—and kings— And why the sea is boiling hot— And whether pigs have wings." Lewis Carroll

Pink Flamingo's Soccer Season Opener
Hurray for Maggie...The Pink Flamingos U-8 Soccer Team won their season opener today..6-3. Mag made 3 of the 6 goals. However, she first had to stop crying over the fact that 2 of the 3 points for the other team were scored on her watch as goalie. When the girls weren't playing, Autumn, Mag, and Mac had quite a few sideline antics going on. Josh has taken Brenn's place as assistant coach. He isn't exactly feeling the love for the experience.

I'M TOO SEXY FOR THIS HAIRCUT!!!!!

Due to the fact that Leo's hair was matted beyond the point of no return, he fell victim to his first haircut. Even the "Furminator" was of no use. We had no choice but to take him to the groomer for the "Lion Cut." His reaction to this has left us with the impression that he is humiliated and victimized. We had hoped that it would put him in touch with this leonine ancestry, but he apparently feels that he looks more akin to a poodle. Of course, this is speculation on our part. We have noticed that Lou is walking with a new swagger...probably counting his lucky stars that he is a short-haired cat.
